Strand Releasing has taken North American rights to erotic thriller Bedways from UK sales company Jinga Films.

The deal was negotiated by Jinga’s Julian Richards, Christoph Thoke of Mogador Film and Jon Gerrans of Strand.

Rolf Peter Kahl’s film is shorlisted for Germany’s Lola for Best German Film, and will screen at this year’s Berlinale.

Also, Jinga has sold it to the UK (Britfilms) and Hong Kong (Panorama).

Bedways premiered at the Berlinale last year and was released in Germany by Wim Wenders’ Reverse Angle Films.

Miriam Mayet, Matthias Faust, Lana Cooper, Laura Tonke, and Arno Frisch star in the story of Berliners making a film about love and sex.
