Paula van der Oest's Zus & Zo, the opening film of this year's Filmfest Stuttgart Ludwigsburg (July 10-15, 2003), Lukas Moodysson's Lilya 4-ever, Karim Dridi's Rage and Sandra Goldbacher's Me Without You are among 14 films from 14 European countries competing for around Euros 70,000 in prize money.

The international jury of producer-distributor Karl Baumgartner, producer Helmut Grasser, actresses Nina Hoger and Leslie Malton, and director Andrej Nekrasov will select the winners in the categories "Best Direction/Best Production", Distribution Prize, and Best Newcomer Actor/Actress from the following line-up:

In addition, this year's Filmfest will feature an 11-title showcase of new British cinema with screenings of such films as Golden Bear winner In This World by Michael Winterbottom, Black Coffee by Wilma Smith, Sunday by Charles McDougall and Out Of Control by Dominic Savage.
