Ken Loach's Sweet Sixteen, which will premiere in competition in Cannes on May 21, is one of three new titles picked up by German theatrical distributor ottfilm.

The Berlin-based outfit has also picked up another two Road Movies productions: Werner Schroeter's German-French co-production Deux -which will be screening in the Directors Fortnight on May 19 - and the compilation film Ten Minutes Older - The Trumpet, featuring contributions by Victor Erice, Werner Herzog, Jim Jarmusch, Chen Kaige, Aki Kaurismaki, Spike Lee and Wim Wenders, to premiere in the Un Certain Regard sidebar on May 19.

A second compilation film produced by Uli Felsberg, entitled Ten Minutes Older - The Cello and with contributions by Bernardo Bertolucci, Mike Figgis, Jiri Menzel, Michael Radford, Istvan Szabo, Volker Schloendorff and Claire Denis, will be delivered in July/August 2002 and will have its international premiere at a major film festival later in the year.
