Quentin Tarantino, currently racing to get his wartime action story Inglourious Basterds ready for a Cannes world premiere, will receive the 13th Capri, Hollywood - Honda International Film Festival's Capri Legend Award.

'Quentin Tarantino is one of Hollywood's most prolific film-makers, revered and respected by the entertainment industry and movie audiences worldwide,' producer and festival chairman Mark Canton said. 'His unconventional films have become part of the vernacular of pop culture and his presence is a great addition to Capri, Hollywood.'

'With Maestro Tarantino joining our stellar lineup, Capri, Hollywood continues to distinguish itself as a major player in the international festival arena,' festival director Pascal Vicedomini said.

Other talent scheduled to attend include Samuel L Jackson, Joseph Fiennes, Daniel Bruehl, Eli Roth, Terry Gilliam and Tarantino's longtime producer Lawrence Bender.

Film screenings will include Doubt, Australia, I've Loved You So Long, The Brothers Bloom and Hurricane Season.

The festival is scheduled to run from December 26-January 2.
