US video-on-demand service Eurocinema has signed an exclusive deal with leading documentary, foreign and independent film distributor The Cinema Guild.

New catalogue titles include Frederic Fonteyne's French tale of love and betrayal Gilles' Wife, Per Fly's Danish family drama The Inheritance, and Agust Gudmundsson's Icelandic murder story The Seagull's Laughter.

'Cinema Guild's catalogue is robust with acclaimed foreign language film titles,' Eurocinema Holdings Corp owner and operator Larry Namer said. 'We are pleased to offer marketing and promotional support for The Cinema Guild's entire indie and foreign catalogue and look forward

to showcasing many new titles in the months to come.'

'A channel devoted entirely to foreign films is long overdue,' Ryan Krivoshey, director of distribution at The Cinema Guild, added. 'There is a growing audience for quality foreign cinema in North America and it is wonderful to see that it is finally being served by Eurocinema. We are very excited to be entering into this new relationship with Eurocinema.'

Each Eurocinema presentation is the centrepiece of a two-hour hosted thematic programming block, with supplemental content such as host commentary, original documentaries, and director interviews.
