Film Movement has picked up North American rights to Eric Guirado's drama The Grocer's Son.

The story centres on a 30-year-old city dweller who is forced to return to Provence to look after his ailing father. Nicolas Cazale and Clotilde Hesme star.

'We are so happy to be distributing this incredibly charming film by an exciting up and coming French director, and we are confident that American audiences will also be won over by this sweet story and its talented, magnetic stars,' president Adley Gartenstein said.

Gartenstein brokered the deal with Daniela Elstner of Les Films du Losange.
