Further ramping up its library, German outfit The Match Factory acquired three films by German writer-director Christian Wagner.

The three titles are Waller’s Last Trip (1988/89), which received a Camera D’Or Special Mention in Cannes in 1989 Transatlantis (1994) about the myth of the sunken city of Atlantis, which screened in Competition at the Berlinale 1995, and Warchild (2006) set in Sarajevo in 2005.

Warchild was screened at the Hamptons IFF, Thessaloniki IFF, Gothenburg IFF, Edinburgh IFF, Mill Valley IFF and myriad other festivals.

“I know Christian Wagner and have followed his way for a long time now. I’m very happy to add those three strongpieces of cinema to our library of films.” Michael Weber, Managing Director of The Match Factory, commented.
