Oscar-nominated writer Peter Morgan, currently working on the third instalment in his Tony Blair trilogy about the former British Prime Minister, has signed with UTA.

Morgan will continue to be represented UK agent Greg Hunt and attorney Alan Hergott.

The screenwriter's latest exploration of Blair's leadership follows the Channel 4 film The Deal and last year's acclaimed theatrical release The Queen, and will focus on Blair's adjustment to the handover of power in the US from Clinton to Bush.

Morgan recently completed adapting his BBC political thriller State Of Play for Universal and Working Title and wrote Sony's upcoming historical drama The Other Boleyn Girl.

Ron Howard is directing the film version of Morgan's political stage play Frost/Nixon for Imagine/Working Title and Universal, and Fox 2000 has just acquired films rights to his tele-series The Jury, which Beau Willimon will adapt and Marc Forster will direct.
