Paris-basedwriter-director Laurent Tirard's The Story Of My Life (Mensonges Et Trahisons Et Plus SiAffinites) won theaudience award at the ninth annual City of Lights, City of Angels Film Festival(COLCOA), which ran in Los Angeles from Apr 11-17.

The picturestars Edouard Baer, Clovis Cornillac and Alice Taglioni and tells the story ofa frustrated celebrity ghostwriter with dreams of literary success who works ona football player's autobiography.

Cornillac wonthe Cesar for best supporting actor for his performance as the egotisticalfootball superstar with a small IQ.

"This award notonly is a bonus for our growing festival audiences, but serves as a newplatform for films to gain the attention of US distributors, particularly sinceAFM is no longer held in February," festival director Claudia Durgnat said.

"Festival saleswere up by 37% from 2004, and the COLCOA partners plan to make an even largerimpact in the market next year, the 10th anniversary of the festival," sheadded.

COLCOA this yearalso offered the world premiere of Claude Lelouch's Men And Women, an export version of the first twochapters in his Genre Humain saga, as well as French hit 36 Quai Des Orfevres, Bertrand Tavernier's latest drama HolyLola and Costa-Gavras'newly released The Ax (Le Couperet). Lelouch, Tavernier and Costa-Gavras were among theattendees.
