Set in a quiet Maine town, the debut feature from Begos follows a spate of grisly murders that may be linked to alien abduction. Channel 83 Films and Ambrosino/Delmenico produce. The film is unrelated to the JJ Abrams television project of the same name.

The anticipated first feature from Roth since 2007’s Hostel: Part II, The Green Inferno tells the story of a group of college students who take their humanitarian protest from New York to the Amazon jungle, only to be kidnapped by the tribe of cannibals they came to save. Dir Hitoshi Matsumoto

Japanese director and comedian Matsumoto premiered Symbol in Toronto’s Midnight Madness in 2009 and returns to the section with this fantasy about a mild-mannered man who finds himself pursued by a gang of ruthless dominatrixes. Yoshimoto Creative Agency produced the film, which is released in Japan in October through Warner Bros Japan.
