Sixty films, a record 40 of which are world premieres, will screen across nine thematic programmes during the festival, set to run from April 15-26.

The Tribeca Film Festival selections hail from 18 countries and were curated from 3076 submissions.

Selections include: Body Team 12, a documentary about the Ebola outbreak that Olivia Wilde (pictured) produced; artist Daniel Arsham directing Juliette Lewis in Future Relic 03; Boman Modine’s Merry Xmas stars Dick Van Dyke; and Katie Holmes directing Romanian gymnast legend Nadia Comaneci in Eternal Princess.

Recipients of the Tribeca Film Festival’s best narrative short and best documentary short awards will qualify for Oscar consideration. Last year’s festival winner for best narrative short, The Phone Call, earned the live-action short Academy Award last month.

Each of the seven selections in the FML programme will become available online as part of the Tribeca Online Festival three hours after the premiere of each film. The films will run online through April 26.
