Trina Wyatt has joined Trevor Macy and Marc D Evans' production and finance outfit Intrepid Pictures as COO/CFO and Anil Kurian has been promoted to vice president of development, effective immediately.
Wyatt will run day-to-day operations and financial activities of the company as well as strategic planning, business development, production finance, and management of the company's senior credit facility with JPMorgan Chase.
Kurian will play an instrumental role in driving the company's mandate to produce and finance three to five pictures per year.
Wyatt served as COO of Tribeca Entertainment for more than six years and was involved in the creation and oversight of the Tribeca Film Festival. Most recently she was COO of Withoutabox and previously managed Film Independent.
Kurian joined Intrepid at the launch in December of 2005. He arrived from jk livin productions and prior to that worked at ICM and Endeavor.
Intrepid recently released The Strangers, which opened on $21m and to date has grossed more than $51.5m. The company's credits include Balls Of Fury, Waist Deep and The Hitcher.
