Troy has passed $200m in worldwide ticket sales as it added $70m in its second weekend for an international running total of more than $145m, according to estimatesreleased by Warner Bros.

The picture opened at theweekend in the UK, Italy, Japan and Russia but the distributor did not releasespecific territory details.

Combined with the $85.8mdomestic running total Troy has amassed $231.7m at the worldwide boxoffice on 17,088 prints.

"We are extremely pleased tohave crossed the $200m mark within nine days of Troy's release," internationaldistribution president Veronika Kwan-Rubinek said in a statement.

"We think this is truly atestimony to the film's broad international appeal and the combined efforts ofour marketing and distribution teams around the world."
