Dr. Ludwig Bauer, ProSiebenSat.1 Media's board member with responsibility for television, has left the company "due to differing views on the future strategic direction of the company".
Bauer, who had worked at the ProSiebenSat.1 Group since 1992 in various posts including head of programmes and managing director at Kabel 1, was appointed board member for television of the ProSieben Group in 1999.
A year later, he was named board member with responsibility for television at ProSiebenSat.1 Media after the merger of the ProSieben Group with Sat.1.
In future, the managing directors of broadcasters Sat.1, ProSieben and Kabel 1 will report directly to ProSiebenSat.1 Media board chairman Urs Rohner
