The Weinstein Company (TWC) has signed a multi-year output dealwith leading German broadcaster ARD Degeto for free TV rights to current andupcoming TWC and Dimension Films pictures.

Pictures in the pipeline include John Madden's thriller Killshot starring Thomas Jane, Diane Lane andMickey Rourke; satirical comedy The Nanny Diaries starring Scarlett Johansson, LauraLinney, Paul Giamatti, Alicia Keys; and Michael Moore's healthcare expose Sicko.

The deal is the latest piece to fall into place in TWC'sburgeoning international distribution network, and follows recent agreementswith RAI Cinema in Italy, TF1 in France, and Roadshow in Australia and NewZealand.

"This is another important stepping stone in our strategy toexploit our films internationally," TWC's president of international Glen Basnersaid.

"We are thrilled to have such a strong partner in ARD Degetoand look forward to delivering the most distinctive films in the marketplace tothem."

Basner and vice president of international business and legalaffairs Michal Podell negotiated the deal with ARD Degeto's US head Kristina Dubin.This is the first output deal for ARD Degeto since 1984.
