UK tax financing outfit Future Film Group (UK) has joinedforces with investment bankers Goldstream Capital Group (Australia) to launchFuture Film Australia Pty Ltd.

The company aims to finance and produce Australian-sourcedfilm projects for the international market.

Future Film Group's Tim Levy commented: "This marks aserious and carefully considered investment by Future Film Group in theAustralian film industry. We anticipate the raising of over $35m ($A50m) ofrisk money in support of this venture, and are targeting first year production budget in excess of$105m ($A150m).

We intend Future Films Australia in a short time to becomethe most prolific production company in Australia; in terms of product, we willbe targeting Australian projects and official co-productions with a view tointernational distribution."

Sam Gullotta and Jas Sekhon of Goldstream said: "We aredelighted at this vote of confidence by Future Film Group in the viability andinternational relevance of the Australian film industry."
