Former High Point senior sales executive Sarah Chammartin has launched a new sales company which will specialise in handling films by black film-makers.

Based in the UK and called Carre Noir Film, Chammartin says the aim is provide films by black film-makers to black communities around the world.

Chammartin is currently handling Urban Entertainment's Sistas 'N The City, an animated parody series of Sex And The City which aired on the UK's Channel 4.

Chammartin represented a number of films by black directors while at High Point, including Jamaican film Third World Cop. Previously she worked a French PR outfit Bossa Nova.

Chammartin will attend the forthcoming bfm festival (5-18 Sept), which is organised by the Black Filmmaker Magazine. The London festival opens with the European premiere of Tim Reid's For Real.
