2 Fast 2 Furious has become Universal's third international summerrelease to pass $100m through UIP, following The Hulk ($104.3m) and Johnny English ($118.8m).

The adrenaline-pumped actionsequel passed the mark on Sept 10 and has grossed $100.3m from 45 territoriesto date.

2 Fast 2 Furious began its international release on Jun 5 with atable-topping $3.8m four-day Australian bow and went on to secure pole positionin a string of mighty openings.

Impressive debuts included$5m in Germany, $4.6m in the UK (including previews), $2.6m in France, $1.9m inSpain and $1.8m in Mexico.

The film is yet to open inColombia, Argentina, Chile, Hong Kong, Malaysia, India and Egypt.

American Wedding will likely be the next title to pass the milestone.It has a $56.6m running total and has yet to open in many parts of Europe, mostof Latin America and Asia.
