Utopia Blues was the big winner at this year's Swiss Film Awards.

Directed by Stefan Haupt, the film took home the honours in the best feature and best actor categories at an awards ceremony held at this week's Solothurn Film Days. The film's star, Michael Finger, has also been selected as Switzerland's representative at the Shooting Star showcase of new Euro talent at the forthcoming Berlin International Film Festival.

In the best documentary category, Vadim Jendreyko won with Bashkim, while the best short film award went to Georges Schwizgebel for his animation, La Jeune Fille Et Les Nuages.

Andrea Guyer and Carol Schuler shared the best actress award for their performances in Lutz Konermann's Lieber Brad.
