Universal's Dawn Of The Dead raised its international running total through UIP to $17.2m,rising to $32m through all distributors.

The horror remake opened on$600,000 on 147 in Australia and took $52,000 on 41 in New Zealand.

Van Helsing added $2m from 1,600 screens in 32 territories for a $141minternational running total, $131.5m of which comes from UIP releases.

It fell 37% in the UK on$375,000 on 275 for $26.8m, while a 61% drop in Germany produced $150,000 on177 for $17.4m. Spain fell 36% on $215,000 on 297 for $11.2m.

The comedy ConnieAnd Carla grossed$300,000 on 121 for fifth place in a limited UK bow. UIP has rights for the UKand Spain.
