The documentary film unit will be hosted on an interactive digital site on Time’s website and the plan is to showcase original content by filmmakers, journalists and photojournalists.

The first project is One Dream, a multimedia site commemorating the 50th anniversary of the March On Washington and Martin Luther King Jr’s celebrated I Have A Dream speech. The content will go live on Aug 15.

The goal is to produce at least one short documentary each month and two expanded projects a year to accompany interactive features on the website.

In autumn, Red Border Films will release two shorts, one profiling Iraq War veteran turned stand-up comedian Bobby Henline and the other about the rise of surrogacy among Western couples in India.
