Warner Entertainment Japan has received the 2007 Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry Award for best importer-distributor of the year for the fourth time.

The award was handed out at a ceremony on Apr 18 at the Tokyo Chamber of Commerce. Warner Japan president and representative director William Ireton accepted the award on behalf of the company from Vice Minister Kozo Yamamoto.

'We are tremendously honoured to be recognised with this award and to continue to develop distribution opportunities for our studio in Japan,' Ireton said.

Warner Bros Japan previously received the award in 1999, 2001 and 2003.
