Lynn Shelton's We Go Way Back has won the 2006 Grand Jury Award for best narrativefeature at the Slamdance Film Festival, while Philippe Diaz' Empire In Africa has taken corresponding documentaryhonours.

The Grand Jury Prize for best narrative short went to Peter Templeman'sThe Saviour, and theaward for best documentary short was presented to Lila Place for Under TheRoller Coaster. Bestanimated short went to Troy Morgan's Dragon.

TheAudience Award for best narrative feature went to Tim Skousen's TheSasquatch Dumpling Gang, and theAudience Sparky Award for best documentary feature was awarded to ChrisSheridan and Patty Kim's Abduction: The MegumiYakota Story.

We Go Way Back also took the Kodak Vision Award for best cinematography.
