We Pictures has sold Peter Ho-sun Chan’s $20m Wu Xia to France’s TF1. This is the first European deal for the new Asian action title, which previously sold to Luxuries Resources for Singapore/Malaysia during the AFM.

We said it was in ongoing negotiations with US studios for the title.

The film is currently in post-production, with Korea’s Digital Idea (The Forbidden Kingdom) doing visual effects.

The cast features Donnie Yen, Takeshi Kaneshiro, Tang Wei and Jimmy Wang Yu.

A summer 2011 release is planned.
