The first English language book about the Thai Palme d’Or winner includes contributions from Tilda Swinton and Tony Rayns.
While we wait with baited breath to see who wins this year’s Palme d’Or on Saturday, there’s some reading up to be done on last year’s winner, Apichatpong ‘Joe’ Weerasethakul.
The Austrian Film Museum and Synema have now published the first major English-language book on the Thai auteur. James Quandt edits contributions from the likes of Tony Rayns, Karen Newman, Kong Rithdee and Tilda Swinton. Joe’s own essays are also included.
