Bob and Harvey Weinstein have set up the Asian labelDragon Dynasty and boosted their already sizeable library by licensing 43titles from News Corp subsidiary Fortune StarEntertainment.

Dragon Dynasty will release all Asian titles in TheWeinstein Company's (TWC) stable, including recent theatricalacquisitions such as Ong Bak 2, SPL, Seven Swords and Dragon Squad.

Longtime collaborator Quentin Tarantino willwork with the brothers on brand development.

London-based Brian White has been named directorof Asian brand management and post-production for the new label, andwill work closely with executive vice president of Asian acquisitionsBey Logan on identifying projects.

Video releases will be handled throughTWC's home entertainment partner Genius Products, and work is underway ona series of special edition DVD releases featuring speciallycommissioned documentaries and features.

TWC's Asian library is one of the mostcomprehensive in North America and boasts such names as Jackie Chan andJet Li, Stephen Chow and Yuen Woo-ping.

The 43-title Fortune Star Entertainment deal augmentsthe brothers' existing stable of 50 classic Shaw Brothers titles, aswell as independent acquisitions such as John Woo's The Killer,Hardboiled and Bullet In The Head.

Fortune Star Entertainment is the distributiondivision of News Corporation's STAR Group, which owns the world's largestcontemporary Chinese-language film library.
