USindependent distributor Wellspring, which was recently acquired by AmericanVantage Media Corporation, has picked up all US rights to Anne Fontaine'serotic drama Nathalie, starringGerard Depardieu, Fanny Ardant and Emanuelle Beart.

Thepicture will receive its West Coast premiere at the City of Lights, City ofAngels Film Festival in Los Angeles on Mar 30 after premiering in Toronto lastyear and playing at the 2004 Rendez-vous with French Cinema festival in NewYork City. Wellspring plans a theatrical release this autumn.

Producedby Les Films Alain Sarde, Nathalietells the story of a relationship between a woman and the prostitute she hiresto report on her husband's infidelities. Fontaine's credits include DryCleaning and How I Killed MyFather.

Wellspring'shead of acquisitions Marie Therese Guirgis negotiated the deal with JohnKochman of Studio Canal.
