London-based sales outfit WestEnd Films has sealed a further set of distribution deals on Rodrigo Garcia's Mother and Child which stars Naomi Watts, Annette Bening and Kerry Washington.

New deals closed include Haut & Court (France), Cineart (Benelux), Smile (Scandinavia) and Hopscotch (Australia), Vision (Pan-Eastern Europe), Seven Group (Greece), Front Row (Middle East), Bir Film (Turkey) and VTI (Ex-Yugoslavia).

The Everest Entertainment/Mockingbird Pictures production is directed by Rodrigo Garcia and executive produced by Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu. It also stars Samuel L Jackson and Jimmy Smits. Principal photography started in January.

The story follows three women - a 50 year old woman, the daughter she gave up for adoption and a woman looking to adopt a child of her own.
