Los Angeles-based LightningEntertainment has continued a raft of major sales on the spiritual docu-dramaand North American box office hit What The Bleep Do We Know!'

Rights to Will Arntz, BetsyChasse and Mark Vicente's picture went to Hopscotch & Polyphony forAustralia and New Zealand, Revolver Entertainment for the UK, Filmhouse forMexico, and Playarte for Brazil.

In other sales, Cinemienbought rights for the Netherlands, ABC Distribution for Belgium, Major CinePictures for Thailand, Budapest Film for Hungary, Comart for South Africa, andGraena Ljosid EHF for Iceland.

In its first launch in amajor international market, Bleep opened in limited release in Australia inApril and went on to gross an impressive AU$360,000.

"Australia has shown that the film has a strong internationalappeal and we look forward to the next openings outside the USA," Lightningco-president Richard Guardian said.

Bleep enjoyed a superb run in North America last yearthrough Samuel Goldwyn Films and Roadside Attractionsand sold more than $11m in tickets.
