A Cinderella Story, an updated version of the classic fairy tale, isa starring vehicle for teen queen Hilary Duff who plays a put upon California teenagerwho falls for her high school's Prince Charming (Chad Michael Murray). It averaged$5,257 from 5,257 screens.
Dreamworks' Dodgeball A True Underdog Story passed $100m in its fifth weekend as itfell two places to ninth on $3.2m for $104.6m, while Fahrenheit 9/11 is approaching the milestone afteradding $7m for $93.8m in its fourth weekend and ranks fifth.
Dreamworks' Anchorman is holding up very well in fourth place on $56.5m in its secondweekend, New Line's The Notebook passed $50m for $53.7m in its fourth weekend, and Buena Vista's KingArthur confirmed itsflop status as it fell three to sixth on $6.9m for $37.9m in its secondweekend.
Next weekend's wide releases include Warner Bros' comic bookadaptation Catwoman,starring Halle Berry, Benjamin Bratt and Sharon Stone; and Universal's thrillersequel The Bourne Supremacy, which stars Matt Damon and Joan Allen.
