Robin Williams will receivedthe Hollywood Foreign Press Association's 2005 Cecil B DeMille Award for his"outstanding contribution to the entertainment field" at the 62nd GoldenGlobes in Los Angeles on Jan 16.

Williams has won five GoldenGlobes - including three as best actor for Good Will Hunting, The FisherKing and Mrs Doubtfire - as well as a further six nominations. He also wonthe best supporting actor Oscar for Good Will Hunting in 1998.

Among the performer's otherfilm roles are Good Morning Vietnam, Dead Poets Society, Jumanji, One HourPhoto and Insomnia. He most recently starred in the thriller TheFinal Cut opposite Jim Caviezel andMira Sorvino.

Upcoming credits include theanimated feature Robots; MarkMylod's dark comedy The Big Whitestarring Holly Hunter and Woody Harrelson; and the mental health drama HouseOf D directed by and co-starringDavid Duchovny.
