Doug Witkins' US gay and lesbian boutique distributorPicture This! Entertainment has launched It's All About The Boy, a new videolabel catering to stories with wider appeal.

First up is Denis Langlois' acclaimed French-Canadian drama DannyIn The Sky, which willbe released on DVD and VHS on Nov 25.

Newcomer Thierry Pepin stars as a troubled model whobecomes trapped in a world of drugs and pornography, only to fall for anequally disturbed photographer.

Veronique Jenkins and Jessie Beaulieu also star in the film, whichearned plaudits at this year's Philadelphia International Gay & LesbianFilm Festival and Reel Affirmations Festival in Washington DC, among others.

"It's All About The Boy will satisfy market demand for featurefilms that are not exactly gay-themed but that have fascinating stories,charismatic, attractive lead actors and inherent gay audience appeal," Witkinssaid in a statement.

No other titles have been announced and the company has not elaboratedon the size of a release slate.

Picture This!Entertainment already runs two video divisions: Picture This! Home Video, whosereleases include Antonio Capuano's Sacred Silence and Francisco J Lombardi's Don't TellAnyone, and Tales FromThe Orphanage, which specialises in coming-of-age stories and is preparing torelease Claude Miller's 1998 Cannes Jury Prize-winning French drama TheClass Trip.
