Bobcat Goldthwait’s dark comedy World’s Greatest Dad starring Robin Williams will close the 11th Annual CineVegas Festival, which as previously reported will open on June 10 with Hue Rhodes’ insurance fraud comedy Saint John Of Las Vegas.

Announcing the full line-up, artistic director Trevor Groth said this year’s edition featured “more world premieres than ever before” and would “rock anyone looking for exhilarating new films from uninhibited and adventurous film-makers.”

The Pioneer Documentaries section returns for the second year, along with the Area 52 genre strand, the Diamond Discoveries independent cinema programme, and advance screenings of high profile releases in Sure Bets.

There are world premiere documentaries of Douglas Tirola’s poker film All In and Michael Oblowitz’ Sea Of Darkness about surfing pioneers-criminals Mike Boyum and Martin Dal. Area 52 entries include the world premieres of Kerry Prior’s vampire buddy movie The Revenant and Frankie Latina’s CIA revenge saga Modus Operandi, as well as Nathan Juran’s 1950s classic Attack Of The 50 Foot Woman.

Playing in Sure Bets are Sundance hits In The Loop from Armando Iannucci, Humpday from Lynn Shelton and Duncan Jones’ Moon. Among the Diamond Discoveries line-up are Wim Wenders’ Palermo Shooting, Robert Byington’s Harmony And Me, and Cory McAbee’s Stingray Sam.

Cash prizes will be awarded to jury award winners and the festival runs from June 10-15.
