Ovation Entertainment and Bob Yari Productions haveteamed up to finance and produce David Duchovny's writing and directorialdebut House of D, a magical fable set ina New York that no longer exists.
The storycentres on a man's attempts to make peace with his past and present andstars Duchovny, Robin Williams, Tyler Hoechlin (Road to Perdition) and Duchovny's real-life wife TeaLeoni (Hollywood Ending).
Ovation chief executive officer Richard B Lewis willproduce with Yari and Tribeca Productions' Jane Rosenthal.
Zanne Devine,Ovation's president of production, will executive produce and MelanieGreene will co-produce.
"When we met with David on this picture we instantlyfell in love with his storytelling abilities and knew that we had the makingsof something special," Lewis said in a statement.
The deal wasbrokered by Rick Hess and Bryan Lourd of CAA.
Yari recentlyset up El Camino Pictures, the dedicated film financing fund for William MorrisAgency's independent finance and packaging arm WMA Independent, and isalso the backer of Stratus Film Company which is run by Mark Gill and MarkGordon and Bull's Eye Entertainment run by Cathy Schulman, Mark Curcioand Tom Nunan.
OvationEntertainment was established last year by Lewis and eBay co-founder JeffSkoll.
It recentlycompleted production on the black comedy Eulogy, which was co-financed by MyriadPictures and will be released in the US through Artisan Entertainment.
