New projects by Daniel Burman (Raquel Liberman), Alexander Sokurov (The Sun), Robert Glinski (Unkenrufe), Goran Paskaljevic (Lost In The Stars), Susanne Bier (Simon) and Pang Ho Cheung (Waiting For Nike) are among 32 projects chosen from 230 entries to be presented in the Berlinale's first Co-Production Market.

The first edition Market will be held Feb 8-9, with individual meetings with potential co-production partners complemented by a series of panel discussions - on developments in Eastern Europe, trends in film financing, digital recoupment, and a case study of a film in the Berlinale's official competition.

The Co-Production Market is also collaborating with the Rotterdam International Film Festival on a third outing for the 'Rotterdam-Berlinale Express' to showcase five projects from this year's CineMart: Thom Fitzgerald's 3 Needles (Canada), Pierre-Paul Renders' Comme Tout Le Monde (Belgium), Dagur Kari's The Good Heart (Iceland), Simone Horrocks' The Paraffin Child (New Zealand) and Salvatore Mereu's Sonetaula (Italy).

The 37 projects of the Market's official section and 'Rotterdam-Berlinale Express' will be joined by another 30 from participants of this year's Berlinale Talent Campus. They will be featured in the Co-Production Market catalogue as the Talent Project Market, with five being chosen to make public pitchings on Feb 9.
