Nashville-based Amity Entertainment has hired American CinemaInternational (ACI) to distribute its library of more than 120 feature films inEurope, Asia, Africa and the Middle East.

LA-based ACI will launch the library at this year's MIP-TV, whichruns from Apr 3 to 7 in Cannes.

The catalogue comprises a wide range of genres including severaldozen martial arts titles, the Ernest comedy franchise starring Jim Varney, and a variety ofaction-adventures, thrillers and dramas.

'ACI has the track record and seasoned sales team tosuccessfully place our feature films in the international marketplace,'Stephen Elsky, Amity president and chief operating officer, said.

'With the proliferation of entertainment distribution abroad,we see tremendous value in Amity's movie library and are looking forward torepresenting them,' ACI chief executive officer George Shamieh said.
