Bob and Harvey Weinstein'sfledgling Fellowship Adventure Group has sold all Canadian rights to MichaelMoore's Fahrenheit 9/11 toAlliance Atlantis.

Alliance Atlantis willrelease the film theatrically across Canada on Jun 25, the same day the PalmeD'Or winner is due to be released in the US through Fellowship Adventure Group,Lions Gate and IFC Films.

"We couldn't think of abetter Canadian partner for Fahrenheit 9/11," the Weinsteins said in a joint statement.

"We've had a long-standingrelationship with Alliance Atlantis, and they have consistently proventhemselves as the best distributor to represent our films in Canada."

"We are extremely pleased tobe bringing Fahrenheit 9/11 totheatres across Canada, on the heels of the critical and audience acclaim itreceived recently at the Cannes Film Festival," Jim Sherry, president ofCanadian theatrical distribution for Alliance Atlantis and the man whonegotiated the deal for his company, said.

"This is a highly lauded andprovocative film that we know will be embraced by Canadian audiences."

Alliance Atlantis served asproducer on Moore's previous release, Bowling For Columbine, which won the best documentary Oscar in 2003. Itgrossed $5.8m in Canada, recording the biggest ever tally for a documentary inthe market.
