Intermedia/Warner Bros' Alexander grossed an estimated $4.7m from 21territories at the weekend to raise its international running total to $24.7m.

The picture opened top in Hungary on $261,957 from 29 screens overfour days, grossing more than double the opening weekends of Master AndCommander and KingArthur.

Alexanderweathered government change in Greece to stay top on $774,428 on 82 screens, anexcellent result that raised the running total there to $1.7m.

In Mexico Alexander added $826,800 on 476 through Warner Bros Pictures Internationalit in its second weekend to rank second on $2.9m, while Norway ranked second on$1.1m after two weekends, and Portugal raised its total after the same amountof time to $800,000.

Third weekend highlights saw cumulative totals rise to $1.2m inDenmark and just under $1.2m in Sweden, while Turkey climbed to $1.4m. Resultsfor Russia and several other territories were unavailable at time of writing.

The picture isscheduled to open this coming weekend in South Africa and goes out in Germany and Austria on Dec 23.
