Arclight Films International has acquired Conquistador Worldwide Media and installed Pascal Borno as its new president of sales and acquisitions.

Borno will lead the Arclight sales team in Cannes with a slate that includes the official selection screening Surveillance.

'Pascal is a very experienced and innovative executive with a long history in worldwide sales and acquisitions, as well as his involvement in identifying good projects and negotiating financing for co-productions,' Arclight's managing director Gary Hamilton said.

Borno, who launched Conquistador Entertainment in 1994, said he had 'the greatest respect' for Arclight Films and Hamilton and was looking forward to working with the team.

Priot to that he held major sales positions at companies like Dino De Laurentiis Corporation, ITC Entertainment Group, Kushner-Locke Company and Carey Woods' Independent Pictures.

At Conquistador, which later became Conquistador Worldwide Media, Borno handled international sales for Rescue Dawn starring Christian Bale and Steve Zahn, Nine Lives with Glenn Close, Robin Wright Penn and Holly Hunter, and One Last Dance starring Patrick Swayze.
