Kevin Bacon and Kate Winsletare to receive honourary awards at the upcoming 20th annual Santa BarbaraInternational Film Festival (SBIFF), which runs from Jan 28-Feb 6 2005.

Bacon, who is generating buzz for his role as a paedophile in theupcoming drama The Woodsman, will receive the American Riviera Award highlighting his career,while Winslet will be recognised for her performances in Eternal Sunshine OfThe Spotless Mind andthe upcoming Finding Neverland.

Bacon's credits include Footloose, A Few Good Men, Hollow Man,Sleepers, Apollo 13 and MysticRiver.

Winslet broke out in Peter Jackson's true crime drama HeavenlyCreatures and has goneon to star in Sense and Sensibility, Titanic, Hideous Kinky, Quills, Iris and The Life Of David Gale. She earned Oscar nominations for Titanic,Sense And Sensibility andIris.

"I'm thrilled to have KevinBacon and Kate Winslet as honourees of the 2005 SBIFF," artistic director RogerDurling said in a statement. "These are two vibrant and extremely accomplishedperformers that are at the peak of their careers."
