Mark Boxer has been nameddirector of national film sales at IFC Films as part of the ongoing expansionof the company, the distribution division of IFC Entertainment.

Boxer will be responsiblefor negotiating and settling distribution deals for all IFC films releasedwithin the US and will direct new sales opportunities for IFC'sdistribution unit, while maintaining existing accounts.

He will report to GregForston, IFC's vice president of sales and distribution.

Boxer joins IFC from ArtisanEntertainment, where he was Eastern and Central district manager and was a keyrelease strategist.

Prior to this he worked as abooker at Sony Pictures, assisting with the sales and distribution of more than25 films including Jerry Maguireand The Cable Guy.

'Mark brings stronginsight and experience into independent film-making and extensive credibilitywithin the industry that will prove invaluable to us as we look to build on ourrecent distribution successes,' Forston said in a statement.

'Over the last year,IFC made the strategic decision to further grow and develop our distributionteam and Mark's appointment is an important part of this goal.'

IFC Films' upcomingreleases include Camp, Girls Will Be Girls and Casa De Los Babys.
