Glen Basner's international sales and production company FilmNation Entertainment has hired two executives to head the production arm overseen by Aaron Ryder.

Effective immediately Carolyn Harris will join the company as
vice-president of production and Beatrice Springborn will serve as
production executive. Ryder and his team are based in Los Angeles
while Basner heads operations in New York.

Both Harris and Springborn arrive from Raygun Productions, where they
worked with Ryder. Both served as producers on My One And Only, which premiered at last month's Berlinale. They also served as executives on Hamlet 2 and The TV Set.

Harris also worked with Ryder at Newmarket, where they produced such
movies as Memento and Donnie Darko. Springborn joined Raygun after
working in development at Pixar on such films as Ratatouille and Cars.

FilmNation has an exclusive deal with Media Rights Capital and Samuels
Media and a non-exclusive deal with Endgame Entertainment that is
expected to span four or five films.

On the production side, the company is loking to greenight projects
through its development fund and aims to make two to three pictures a
year. As previously announced, the slate includes the Edgar Allan Poe
thriller The Raven and the drama Bull Rush, which is being produced
with Newmarket.
