CinemarkInternational, one of the leading Latin American exhibitors, has opened threenew stadium-seating theatres in Southern Mexico, Chile and Costa Rica.

The Galerias Boulevardsite in Southern Mexico's Tuxtla Gutierrez region is an eight-screen, 1,850-seatcomplex and the first to open in the city of Chiapas.

It was built incooperation with the existing Liverpool site, the region's largestdepartment store, and the development group Grupo Grapas Tuxtla.

The six-screen,1,340-seater Plaza Norte Theatre in Chile is scheduled to open in the Santiagosuburb of Huechuraba on Nov 3 and will be Cinemark's 12th theatre in thecountry.

Costa Rica'snew eight-screen Multiplaza Del Este will be Cinemark's second theatre inthe country and features high-backed rocker chair loveseats.

Cinemarkoperates 3,045 screens in 33 states and 14 countries outside the US includingArgentina, Brazil, Honduras, Peru and Taiwan.
