One of the UK'sleading providers of music services to the film industry, Cutting Edge Music,has entered into a joint venture with Lucky 50 Productions, the wholly-owned U.S.production entity of Bauer Martinez Studios.The joint venture, Music Rites, will have the exclusive right toacquire, administer, exploit and supervise the available music from Lucky 50'smotion picture production slate.

Cutting Edge is a music publishing and supervision companythat currently owns rights in more than 40 films and has supervised more than20 features in the last two years. Its long-standing and successfulrelationship with Lucky 7 Productions, a U.K.production subsidiary of Bauer Martinez Studios, was instrumental in this jointventure.

In 1999 C.E.O. Philippe Martinez and president Karinne Behr established Bauer Martinez Studios and in 2005successfully launched Bauer Martinez Entertainment (BME), its U.S. operationsarm, which has become one of the industry's fastest growing independent filmproduction, financing and distribution companies.

BME has recently announced major output deals with MGMStudios and Visual Entertainment, a division of Universal Music and VideoDistribution.

The joint venture will be involved with current BME 2006theatrical releases I Could Never Be Your Woman, from writer/director Amy Heckerling, starring Michelle Pfeiffer, Paul Rudd andTracey Ullman; TheFlock directed by Andrew Lau, starring Richard Gereand Claire Danes; and Harsh Times,from writer/director David Ayer starring Christian Bale, Freddy Rodriguez andEva Longoria.
