J Alan Davis has joined Los Angeles-based distribution and saleshouse Liberation Entertainment as vice president and head of worldwide businessaffairs.

Davis previously served as head of business affairs at Warner BrosInternational Television Production, and was a principal of media consultingcompany Periscope.

Liberation Entertainment was launched earlier this year by mediaentrepreneur Jay Boberg, with the financial backing of media and communicationsprivate-equity firm Clarity Partners.

Davis began his career at O'Melveny & Myers, and subsequentlyfounded Davis & Benjamin with Linda Benjamin, currently the executive vicepresident, business and legal affairs at Intermedia. He has twice served aschairman of BAFTA/LA's Britannia Awards.
