Switzerland’s Rolando Colla, Romania’s Adrian Sitaru and Denmark’s Ole Christian Madsen are among 20 European directors who will be having their latest films showcased by European Film Promotion (EFP) at the forthcoming Busan International Film Festival (Oct 6-14).

Colla will come to Korea with Summer Games, which was selected last weekend as Switzerland’s entry for the Foreign Language Film Oscar, while Madsen will present his new romantic comedy Superclasico to Korean audiences, and Sitaru will accompany his second feature Best Intentions which premiered in competition at Locarno in August.

The lineup will also include four filmmakers who have films competing in Busan’s Flash Forward Competition which focuses on young non-Asian directors:

This is the 14th year that the EFP network will be actively promoting European cinema in Busan. The initiative will also include a European umbrella stand operating at the Asian Film Market (Oct 10-13) for the fifth year in a row and EFP’s Film Sales Support (FSS) for sales agents promoting European films for Asian territories.
