AV Pictures has taken on international sales of Stuart St. Paul’s Freight, which is currently in post production.

AV will introduce the film, which stars Billy Murray, Craig Fairbrass and Danny Midwinter and is set in the UK, to buyers at Cannes.

Freight follows a Russian gang as they traffic Eastern Europeans in containers and enslave them. When the gang cross a local businessman a war escalates and his daughter is taken to be sold into the sex trade.

AV Pictures’ slate will also include Gladiators v Werewolves: Edge of Empire which was written and directed by Rob Green, and Dark Streets, directed by Rachel Samuels.

The $15m Gladiators v Werewolves: Edge of Empire, which starts shooting later this year, is the first movie in a trilogy. It pits gladiators against werewolves as they fight to the death in an arena spurred on by spectators.

Dark Streets stars Bijou Phillips and Gabriel Mann and follows the owner of a nightclub as he racks up debts and loses control of his life.
