Robbie Little has taken international sales rights to Darko Mitrevski’s second world war sports drama about a Jewish coach  who inspires a football team to win the National Football League in Nazi-occupied Macedonia in 1942.

Mitrevski wrote the screenplay with Grgur Strujic and produced with Robert Naskov through their Kino Oko Productions banner along with financial backer I/O Post.

Richard Sammel, Sasko Kocev and model Katarina Ivanovska star alongside Rade Serbedzija, Emil Ruben and Toni Mihajlovski.

The Third Half filmed in Skoje, Bitola and Ohrid with the support of the Film Fund Of Macedonia, Macedonian Holocaust Fund, The Jewish Community of Macedonia, Czech State Film Fund and sponsorship by Sparkasse Bank.

“I have been living with this story for ten years,” Mitrevski said. “Historic movies about football, the Holocaust and WWII are not being made every day. This is an epic film and for it to be presented on the big screen is a very special achievement. We filmed across Macedonia to find the most interesting locations, as we wish for the ‘Third Halftime’ to also be a postcard of our country’s mystique, exoticism.”
