The annual pan-Asian film festival staged by Chapman University’s Dodge College of Film And Media Arts in partnership with South Korea’s Busan International Film Festival takes place from Mar 8-10 in California.

New this year’s US showcase of select Asian films are narrative and documentary short competitions. Winners will be announced on Mar 10 and will screen at Busan in October.

The Busan West line-up includes a martial arts retrospective, Q&A sessions.

“We are excited to once again celebrate the talents of both emerging and established Asian filmmakers,” said Chapman University dean Robert Basset. “The addition of the short film competition and martial arts retrospective enables us to connect further with both local and global audiences.”
