Two-time Academy Award winner Hilary Swank will be feted with the Hollywood Actress Award at the 13th Annual Hollywood Film Festival (HFF) and Hollywood Film Awards.

Swank stars as Amelia Earhart in Mira Nair’s upcoming Amelia and will collect her honour at the gala ceremony on October 26 in Beverly Hills.

Fox Searchlight will release Amelia on October 23. Richard Gere, Ewan McGregor, Christopher Eccleston and Joe Anderson round out the key cast.

Swank won lead actress Oscars in 2000 for Boys Don’t Cry and in 2005 for Million Dollar Baby. Her credits include Freedom Writers and the recent release P.S. I Love You, as well as The Black Dahlia, The Gift, Insomnia and The Reaping.

She also stars in the 2010 thriller The Resident, about a doctor who suspects she may not be alone in her Brooklyn loft.

In 2008, Swank and producer Molly Smith launched 2S Films and signed a two-year first-look deal with Warner-based Alcon Entertainment. Projects in the works include French Women Don’t Get Fat and Sweet & Vicious.
